¼ cup TSTE® Mariner’s Chowder Seasoning
½ tsp TSTE® Worcestershire Powder
From the Grocer
½ cup butter
1 cup celery, chopped
2 cups clams (fresh or canned), chopped
2 cups clam juice (should be enough in with the clams)
2 cups chicken broth/stock
3 slices cooked thick-cut bacon, chopped
2 cups Yukon gold potatoes, diced
MELT butter over low heat in a large soup pot. Add celery and sauté until soft, around 4 mins.
Add TSTE® Worcestershire Powder and the remainder of the ingredients. Cook on high until soup begins to boil.
SIMMER about 30 mins or until the potatoes are tender.
SERVE sprinkled with a little more TSTE® Mariner’s Chowder Seasoning, TSTE® Mariner’s Oyster Crackers Recipe, or a side of TSTE® Garden Garlic Bread Recipe.
*For a Creamier Soup: substitute 1½ cup of heavy cream and ¼ cup flour (for 1 cup of chicken broth/stock).
*For a Tomato-Based Soup: substitute 1 cup of tomato juice and 1 cup of crushed tomatoes (for 1 cup of the clam juice and 1 cup of chicken broth).
