Spice & Tea Cares - Hunger

Hunger In America

Unfortunately, not everyone has ability to enjoy life’s greatest flavors. In fact, many people right here in America are barely able to feed their families. We hope to make a difference by giving back and to help fight hunger in America.

Did you know that in America, 1 in 6 children struggle with hunger? In many communities, kids are going to school hungry and it is known that kids who eat breakfast: miss less school, get better grades, and are more likely to graduate high school. The effects of hunger can be devastating well into adulthood.*

In fact, not just kids are hungry. It is estimated that 1 in 6 adults also face hunger struggles, bringing totals to over 41 million Americans struggling. Hungry can not only be frustrating, but it can have devastating effects on physical, mental, and emotional health. Proper nutrition is a requirement for satisfying our body’s needs.*
