Cranberry Apple Tart Simple Syrup
2 Tbsp Cranberry Apple Tart Herbal Tea
8 oz water at 200°F
1 cup sugar
2 oz vodka
½ oz cranberry apple tart simple syrup
½ oz fresh lemon juice
ginger beer or ginger ale
garnish cinnamon stick, lime or orange slices, fresh cranberries
Prepare Simple Syrup.
Combine tea and hot water; steep for 5 minutes.
Strain infusion into a small saucepan; discard tea. Add sugar and heat over medium-low; stir occasionally until sugar has fully dissolved. Set aside to cool.
Makes approximately 8 ounces. Refrigerate leftover syrup for up to one week. Use to sweeten hot and cold drinks – or even as a dessert topping.
Add vodka, simple syrup, and lemon juice to a mule mug filled with ice. Stir.
Top with ginger beer or ginger ale.
Garnish with cinnamon stick, sliced citrus, and/or fresh cranberries. Makes 1 cocktail.
