1 lb fresh asparagus
2 tsp fresh lemon juice
2 Tbsp Leek Extra Virgin Olive Oil*
15 to 17 turns Florida Sunshine Salt Spice Blend* (3.8oz grinder bottle)
Preheat oven to 425°F.
Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Prepare the asparagus by snapping off or cutting the woody ends (sharply bend each spear near the base – it will snap in the right place). Discard the ends.
Place trimmed asparagus on the baking sheet. Drizzle lemon juice and olive oil to coat. Season with 15 to 17 turns of Florida Sunshine Salt Spice Blend grinder
and toss.
Arrange the spears in a single layer. Roast 9 to 11 minutes for thin spears or 15 to 20 minutes for thick – until the base of the asparagus is easily pierced by a fork.
Just before serving, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the roasted spears, to taste.
Recipe Variation: for even more sunshine flavor, replace the Leek Extra Virgin Olive Oil with one Tablespoon each of Lemon and Orange Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
