    3 Tbsp. sesame oil, divided
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    ½ Asian pear, Bosc pear or sweet Fuji apple
    ½ onion
    3 green onions
    ½ large carrot
    1 ½ lb thinly sliced beef

    Make the Marinade:
    ADD soy sauce, 2 Tbsp. sesame oil, brown sugar, Korean BBQ Rub, and Garlic Powder in a large bowl or zip-top bag.
    GRATE ½ of an Asian pear (approx. 4 Tbsp.) into the marinade and mix well.
    CUT onion and green onion into thin, 2-inch slices, then cut lengthwise. Add to mixture, reserving a bit of green onion for garnishing later.
    PEEL carrot (or julienne) into 2-4-inch slices. Add to mixture and mix well.
    ADD meat into the marinade and mix well to coat. Chill for 30 mins. or overnight. Prepare the Meat:
    HEAT 1 Tbsp. sesame oil in a large skillet (or wok) on medium heat.
    COOK the marinated beef until cooked through, about 5-10 mins. until browned and remove from pan.
    ADD White Sesame Seeds to pan and toast lightly, 1-2 mins. Meanwhile, chop reserved green onion into smaller slices.
    SERVE beef sprinkled with toasted White Sesame Seeds and green onion.
