Beer for dessert?! Well, not exactly; but the inspiration is there, and the task is made quick and easy. This decadent treat has a malty beer flavor and a creamy chocolate frosting. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!
From TSTE®¼ cup TSTE® Beer Powder½ cup + 1 TBS TSTE® Cocoa - Dutched, divided2 tsp TSTE® Madagascar Pure Vanilla Extract
From the Grocer1 box chocolate cake mix (18.25 oz)1½ cups water1/3 cup vegetable oil3 eggs¼ cup butter, softened5 TBS milk4 cups powdered sugar
PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Prepare two 8-inch round pans by lightly coating the bottoms with non-stick cooking spray. Beat cake mix, water, oil, and eggs on medium speed for two minutes. Add TSTE® Beer Powder and 1 TBS TSTE® Cocoa - Dutched and stir until combined.DIVIDE batter amongst pans and bake for 33-37 mins (or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean). Allow to cool. In the meantime…PREPARE frosting. Beat butter, milk, powdered sugar, TSTE® Madagascar Pure Vanilla Extract, and remaining TSTE® Cocoa - Dutched until smooth.PLACE one 8-inch cake on a serving platter. Frost the top and place the second cake on top. Frost around the edges and the top. Enjoy with a nice cold glass of milk, or even a complementary beer!
