From The Spice & Tea Exchange®1 TBS Butcher’s Rub Spice Blend2 tsp Ultimate Umami Seasoning2 tsp Vik’s Garlic Fix Spice Blend
From the Grocer1/3 cup canola or vegetable oil2/3 cup soy sauce2 TBS packed dark brown sugar2 TBS chopped fresh chives4-6 individual steaks or chops1 TBS balsamic vinegar
WHISK together Butcher’s Rub Spice Blend, Ultimate Umami Seasoning, Vik’s Garlic Fix Spice Blend, oil, soy sauce, sugar, and chives in a small bowl.RESERVE ¼ cup of liquid, and pour the rest of the marinade into a large zipper top plastic bag, along with the steaks or chops. Seal bag and place in refrigerator 30 mins to 1 hr.WHISK vinegar into reserved ¼ cup liquid, set aside.PREHEAT grill or broiler.GRILL or broil steaks or chops as desired.TRANSFER grilled steaks or chops to a shallow pan.POUR reserved liquid over top. Cover loosely with aluminum foil, and let rest 10 min, turning steaks over halfway through. Slice and serve.
