Everyone loves a good BLT! This salad combines colorful fresh ingredients, caramelized bacon, and cheese with a traditional, tasty, and easy-to-make buttermilk dressing.
From The Spice & Tea Exchange®1 TBS Vik’s Garlic Fix!¼ tsp Alderwood Smoked Sea Salt Tuscany Spice Blend (to taste)Vanilla Turbinado Sugar (to taste)
From the Grocer½ cup sour cream1/3 cup buttermilk1 TBS fresh chives, finely chopped1 lb bacon1 head romaine lettuce1 pkg cherry tomatoes1 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese
WHISK together sour cream, buttermilk, chives, Vik’s Garlic Fix, and Alderwood Smoked Sea Salt. Refrigerate.SPREAD bacon slices on a cookie sheet and sprinkle with Tuscany Spice Blend and Vanilla Turbinado Sugar. Place pan of bacon in a cold oven. Set temperature to 400?F and bake for 15-20 mins or until crispy. Set bacon on paper towels to absorb excess grease. Once cooled, chop or crumble into small pieces and set aside.REFRIGERATE lettuce, tomatoes, cheese in a salad bowl until chilled.ASSEMBLE salad by tossing lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and bacon with dressing to taste.
