Florida Sunshine Cookies

Coated in our signature Florida Sunshine Sugar, these delicious treats are bursting with citrus flavor and will fill your home with the fresh scents of summer.
Ingredients
- 14 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted (1¾ sticks)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 ea egg
- ½ tsp lemon extract
- ½ tsp orange extract

½ tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- zest of one lemon
- zest of one orange
- zest of one lime
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp cream of tartar

½ tsp Florida Sunshine Spice Blend, ground fine
- 2 1/8 cups all-purpose flour (or 300g pre-sifted)

1.5 oz Florida Sunshine Sugar, for rolling
Directions
- Stir melted butter and sugars until butter is absorbed; stir in egg.
- Stir in extracts, zests, baking soda, cream of tartar, and spice blend; fold in flour until just incorporated. Cover and refrigerate for two hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350ºF. Add Florida Sunshine Sugar to a small bowl. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Scoop a walnut-sized portion of cookie dough and roll it between palms to form a smooth ball. Roll in Florida Sunshine Sugar to coat and place on the baking sheet. Repeat with remaining dough; position balls two inches apart. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
