A crowd-pleasing side to any meal, these quick biscuits are tender, buttery, and full of flavor. Finished with a generous brush of sweet and savory melted butter, you may want to double the amount so there is extra for dipping!
Cheesy Garlic Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 cups biscuit mix
  • 2 Tbsp Beer Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Cheddar Cheese Powder
  • 3 tsp Vik's Garlic Fix! Spice Blend, divided
  • 2 tsp Sweet Onion Sugar, divided
  • ¾ cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450ºF. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl add biscuit mix, beer powder, cheese powder, 2 teaspoons spice blend, and 1 teaspoon sugar; stir to combine. Add buttermilk and shredded cheese; gently stir just until a soft dough forms – do not overwork.
  3. In large spoonfuls (about 2½ to 3 Tablespoons each) portion dough on the prepared baking sheet, evenly spaced. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
  4. While biscuits are baking, in a small bowl heat butter with remaining spice blend and sugar, 1 teaspoon each. Stir until fully melted. Cover to keep warm.
  5. Brush hot biscuits with seasoned melted butter. Serve warm.
