Smokehouse Rub adds all the flavors of a traditional Midwest barbecue to this delicious BBQ sauce. Make this sweet & savory BBQ sauce right at home for a tangy, impressive addition to ribs and other pork, beef, chicken, fish, and more!
Smokehouse Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Smokehouse Rub
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire Powder
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard

Directions

  1. COMBINE all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 20 mins., stirring frequently.
  2. POUR into a medium bowl. Allow to cool to room temperature. May be held in refrigerator, for up to 1 week.

  1. TRANSFER half of the cooled barbeque sauce to a large zipper top plastic food storage bag.
  2. ADD beef, chicken, pork, or fish to bag, seal and place in refrigerator 30-90 mins. prior to cooking.
  3. REMOVE contents from bag and cook using your desired method. While cooking, periodically baste with second half of marinade and a basting brush.
