Affectionately nicknamed “the caviar of the South”, pimento cheese is a staple in Southern states, though it enjoys a passionate following in other regions. Made with just five ingredients and ready in ten minutes – everything from crackers and crudité to sandwiches and burgers will love its tangy, cheesy flavor.

Pimento Cheese Spread

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cheddar cheese, shredded (sharp or extra sharp)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp Tailgater’s Spice Blend
  • 4 oz pimentos, drained

Directions

  1. Add shredded cheese, cream cheese, mayonnaise, and spice blend to a large mixing bowl (or stand mixer bowl). Using a hand mixer (or stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment), beat until creamy and fully combined. Fold in the drained pimentos. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate for up to one week.
