No'groni Fizz
The Spice & Tea Exchange
Assembly makes 1 drink. No’groni base prep yields enough for 8 drinks.
This non-alcoholic riff on a Negroni relies on a tart, spiced hibiscus base to deliver the signature bittersweet complexity of the classic cocktail. Along with clove, black peppercorn, and fresh orange peel, it mimics the deep color and spiced bite of Campari.

Directions
- Prepare No’groni Base. To a medium pot or saucepan, add base ingredients except for sugar. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Stir in sugar until dissolved. Remove from heat and steep, covered, 1 hour. Strain fully; discard solids. Allow to cool to room temperature before assembly. Yields approximately 16 ounces.
- Assemble Mocktail. Add Cranberry Orange Sugar to a small plate or saucer. Run an orange wedge over the rim of an empty rocks glass. Press the wet rim into the sugar; twist back and forth to ensure the sugar sticks evenly. Discard orange wedge.
- To a cocktail shaker, add no’groni base and grapefruit juice. Fill halfway with ice; secure and shake to chill. Strain into rimmed rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Top with tonic water and stir.
