Directions
- Prepare Tea Concentrate. For your tea of choice, prepare the tea per the package instructions for one serving, except use 4 ounces of water (instead of 8 ounces). Cover and steep as directed. Strain infusion and allow to cool before assembly; discard tea leaves.
- Assemble. To a 16-ounce glass, add lemonade. Fill glass to the top with fresh ice, then top with cooled tea.
- Endless Possibilities. While black tea is most featured in iced tea lemonades, green and herbal teas also make delicious and colorful combinations. When choosing a tea, look for flavors that could be complemented by the sweet-tart citrusy profile of lemonade. Some of our favorites are listed above.
- Tips for Layering. For an eye-catching half-and-half look, when assembling, slowly pour the cooled tea directly over an ice cube so it dribbles into the glass. This will help create and maintain a distinct layered effect. Alternatively, hold a spoon over the top of the glass and turn the spoon over so it is convex. Slowly pour the cooled tea over the back of the spoon and let it dribble into the glass.
