This satisfying cocktail combines the vibrant flavors of blood orange-infused rum with the sweet, nutty essence of amaretto. Each sip is like tasting sunshine in a glass, a luscious blend of citrus and warmth, perfectly balanced by the bright notes of fresh orange. If you are a fan, you may also like Fireside Toddy.
Ingredients
- 7 oz dark rum

2 Tbsp Blood Orange Smoothie Herbal Tea
- 1½ oz tea-infused rum
- ¾ oz amaretto
- ¾ oz fresh orange juice

pinch Cyprus White Sea Salt
- garnish fresh orange peel

Directions
- Prepare Tea-Infused Rum. Combine dark rum and herbal tea. Cover and steep at room temperature for 2 to 4 hours. Strain fully. Discard herbal tea. Yields approximately 6 ounces.
- Assemble Cocktail. Add infused rum, amaretto, orange juice, and a pinch of crushed sea salt to a rocks glass. Fill glass with ice (preferably one large cube); stir to combine and chill. Twist the orange peel over the glass to release the oils, then rub the peel around the glass rim. Add peel to the cocktail.
Recipe Note
*Why sea salt? Adding a dash or two will really unite, brighten, and balance flavors!
