A staple ingredient in Mediterranean cuisine (as well as making appearance in Greek, French, Cuban, and other cuisines), this powdered version of bay leaves can be use in place of whole leaves. As this ground version’s flavor is concentrated, use less than you would of the whole leaf. Perfect for adding tangy, earthy flavor to soups, sauces, meat, fish, and more.

Spice Fun Fact: In ancient times bay leaves were believed to alleviate bee and wasp stings and the Romans considered them to be a symbol of glory.
