Maintenance: Remove dry residues with a brush only. Rinse mortar with hot water and a dishwashing brush to remove residues of acid or oil. Dry thoroughly and do not immerse mortar and pestle in water. Mortar and pestle are not dishwasher safe. Lubricate mortar occasionally.
