PASSION TEA WITH LAVENDER SIMPLE SYRUP

I have made this recipe for years now. It has been the talk of the neighborhood for quite sometime. Make tea according to the directions. I make 1 or 2 cups of simple syrup. Sometimes I use it all depending on how much tea I make. SIMPLE SYRUP: Ratio is one to one; One cup water 1 cup sugar (or double it). Medium heat to melt the sugar. Remove from heat and cool 10 minutes. Then sprinkle in 1 or 2 tablespoons of lavender leaves over top. Let it sit for another 15 or 20 minutes. Stir and strain. I place some of the syrup into a small glass container for individual use. I also add at least a cup to my jug of tea. Just enough for that hint of lavender sweetness. Enjoy!
