Thyme

A small leafy herb, thyme has a strong, pungent, and somewhat minty flavor. Crush thyme in the palm of your hand to release its flavor before using in combination with other herbs like rosemary, parsley, and oregano. Often associated with Italian, French, and Mediterranean cuisines, thyme is used to season lamb, seafood, vegetables, and meat sauces.



Spice Fun Fact: In ancient Greece it was considered a compliment to say someone "smelled of thyme," which meant that person was elegant, refined, and stylish.
