Pepper Chilies - Cayenne Ground

Cayenne is the most commonly used chili powder in the world and may also be referred to as a finger pepper, finger chili, ginnie pepper, or bird pepper. The name "cayenne" was actually given to the pepper because of its original cultivation in a town that bears the same name, in French Guiana (located on the northeastern coast of South America). When harvested during the warmer months, it is green or turns red as cooler weather arrives. It has a very hot, biting flavor and a little goes a long way when seasoning dishes.
