There has been a cumin recall affecting numerous spice companies due to undeclared peanut proteins (one of the eight major food allergens). While several spice companies on the market were affected, TSTE® cumin has tested negative for peanut proteins. Precautionary testing will continue until the matter subsides. You may have seen recent media coverage regarding a partial ban the FDA has placed on fresh cilantro from Puebla, Mexico. The Spice & Tea Exchange® does not sell cilantro from Puebla, Mexico and is not affected by this ban. Please be assured that we, and our suppliers, will continue to do everything possible to ensure that all of our products are safe.
